UnderConstruction

BLOB's first work was developed during the RAIVE AI summer school at DeSingel Arts Centre in Antwerp in September 2024. The work was titled UnderConstruction and investigated the relationship between the body and technology using Max/MSP.

UnderConstruction creates an alternative space where the human body and technology are fundamentally linked. Each movement triggers a sound, each sound triggers a movement. Four bodies attempt to discover how this space works, what are its rules, how can they use it, how can they abuse it? By misusing body capture algorithms and computer programming, UnderConstruction investigates the consequences of the ever-vanishing line between body and machine.
